Vickie graduated from the Ohio State University in broadcasting and communications. After graduation she went to work in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale in radio. She specialized in advertising, marketing, on-air voice over and talk radio. After leaving Florida she continued her radio career as an on-air personality and sports producer in Pittsburgh.

Vickie has been back in Columbus for 6 years where she has pursued a career in interior design and home staging. She is an accredited staging professional and had her own staging company for several years.
